Consumer’s trust in Thailand decreased into lowest level in a decade related with flood. It can be seen in University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce (UTCC) research as written in Bangkok Post and Xinhua news in Friday (11/11/2011).
Consumer’s trust to consumer on previous September was in 72.2 percent position. But, a month later, October, the trust was lower into 62.8 percent position.
Meanwhile Central Bank of Thailand in its economic projection said, Thailand economic growth until the end of 2011 is fallen into 2.6 percent position from 4.1 percent position. The trigger is higher cost living because of un-receded flood.
Then, consumer trust index related with workfield to October is in 63.7 percent. Trust about income growth is still in 90.9 percent. However, according to UTCC, this number is lower than ten years back.
In the next part, Director of Economic Center and Business Prediction of UTCC, Thanawat Ponwichai said, flood effect caused domestic economic loss to 400 billion baht.
