Storm Turned into Richard Hurricane

Tropical storm Richard turned into hurricane. Now it heads to Belize and southeastern part of Mexico according to officials.  The Richard’s center located 95 miles east of Belize City said officials from US National Hurricane Center. Direction of Richard Hurricane is north-west, speed – 12 mph.

NHC at Miami reports that Richard will cross Yucatan Peninsula after Belize and southeastern Mexico and reach southwestern Mexico Gulf on Tuesday.

At this time fishermen are being evacuated from Yucatan.

The NHC reported that there will be five feet water level raise with large and destructive waves along northern Belize and Honduras’ coasts. Two inches of rain expected in northern Honduras as well.
